Field #3 Re-Dedication Ceremony A Great Day For The NBYL!

On Friday, April 15th, the NBYL had its Opening Day festivities and the re-dedication of the upgraded and revamped field #3, that was delayed by the inclement weather on April 2nd.

Many local political figures were in attendance, including Babylon Town Supervisor Rich Schaffer, Deputy Supervisor Tony Martinez, Councilman Thomas Donnelly, and Receiver of Taxes Corinne DiSomma. The NBYL extends a grateful “Thank You” to the time and effort put in to make the upgraded field a reality, from the town leaders, to the town workers, and the contractors that did such an excellent job. We have great facilities because of their hard work!

Representing the League was Instructional Division Coordinator Charlie O’Neill, filling in for our League President Ken Primm, who was out due to an illness, as well as Vice President Mike Napoli, League Treasurer Bob Fischer, Head Umpire Matt Noone, and Secretary Valerie Grube.

Some long standing supporters and volunteers of the NBYL were honored with plaques for their many years of dedicated and hardworking service. Bob Fischer, the board member and Treasurer, and Vinny Dibenedetto, a former coach and now umpire for the league received the recognition for their over twenty years of work for and with the North Babylon Youth League. Congratulations and thanks to both of them!

We hope that all the players and families enjoy the new field, and have a great season! Play Ball!
