Great 60th Anniversary Opening Day, Great Memories!

Nature played an April Fools joke on the NBYL this spring, but the next morning gave us a beautiful opening day for our historic 60th Anniversary Opening Day, with clear skies, and bright sunshine.

After a grand parade escorted by the Suffolk County Police Department and the North Babylon Fire Department, everyone assembled in our newly renovated field 3 to kick off our 60th season of NBYL Baseball and Softball.

In addition to our great players, many former players and board members were in attendance, along with the North Babylon Fire Department, Babylon Town officials, and Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone.

Leah Vandernoth marched with our Bulldog mascot in the parade, and during the festivities a slightly larger mascot was entertaining the players, and firing up the crowd!

Many former players and board members were present, and our winning teams from last season were honored and cheered for their victorious seasons.

The NBYL extends its congratulations to our past players, board members, town and county officials, and winning teams for their efforts that have made the NBYL what it is today, and we look forward to a safe, fun and exciting 2017 60th anniversary season!
